Number nine in the Omnisphere one-hour challenge, created January 3, 2009. (The first of two I did that day!)

This one is a little silly, I guess. As the piece progressed, I started to imagine small sea creatures meeting under the frozen ice crust, and having a party. (A whale is heard in the distance, but is presumably too big to participate.)

I like this one, but I think I could have turned down the reverb a little on the “Bells of St. Elmo’s,” especially during the dance section. I also noticed some bad voice-leading, but since the piece is mostly improvised, I guess it’s no big deal.
