Trance Mission

The second entry in the Omnisphere one-hour challenge. Something a little different:

Trance Mission

Created December 2, 2008.

Patches used (in order of appearance)

  • Growler Moog Bass
  • Deduks in Mourning
  • Transmission
  • Hihat open 1 (o:32)
  • Phillip’s Glass Staccato Soprano (0:34)
  • Richness Stringyswell (0:34)
  • Trancey Bass (0:34)
  • TranZ Jupiter (0:43)

Since I didn’t use the “Philip’s Glass Staccato Soprano” and “Hihat open 1” patches in the previous challange, I decided to institute a rule that any patches not used in a project had to be the first patches loaded into the next one. As it turned out, though, that was the only time I ever followed that rule, so I didn’t bother to add it to the rule list.

Thanks to the loaded patches, I found myself composing what I think is Trance Music. I’m not actually sure what Trance Music is, being a middle-aged, hopelessly uncool kind of guy, but hopefully this came close.

Don’t feel bad I’m a middle-aged uncool woman that likes your music.
